THE FINALE

A Very Special Roundtable with Angela Taylor, Christy Winters-Scott,

LaChina Robinson and Mel Greenberg

The WNBA Roundtable has long been one of David's audience's favorite segments, so there is no better way to
conclude Dishin & Swishin's time on WSTRRadio.com than with a  new one!
Our esteemed panel discusses the first half of the season and half, and, under the leadership of
"DNS GM" Taylor, the panel debates and selects the 2011 Dishin & Swishin WNBA All-Star team reserves.  A lot of fun and a lot of laughs!

Dishin & Swishin host David Siegel wants to thank you the guests, the listeners and also producer The Wiz for their willingness to take a chance on a new voice, and help bring a new concept to the air.  Without all of you, Dishin & Swishin could not be the success it has become.
David hopes you will follow him on his new home, www.hoopfeed.com

David and Tiffany discuss playing in Tulsa, improving her game and more.  Enjoy!

Asjha Jones, Forward, Connecticut Sun

All-star forward Asjha Jones' return to health is a primary reason the Connecticut Sun are in the thick of the playoff race in the

and with Tina Charles, is a dynamic combination.  She is also a business-woman, with a growing shoe business.
Asjha also has played on the pro and college level with seven of the nominees for the WNBA's Top 15 players.

Dishin & Swishin Celebrates 15 Years of WNBA Basketball

They might not have won the most championships, or any championships fro that matter, but you can certainly argue
that the New York Liberty teams of the early days of the WNBA were and still are some of the most popular.  Loaded with
charismatic and talented players, to this day their fans love them.  So as the Liberty unveiled the Ring of Honor this week,
and their first four entrants, Teresa Weatherspoon, Vickie Johnson, Kym Hampton and Sue Wicks, Dishin & Swishin is pleased
to bring to you our NY Liberty Legends Roundtable from last year, so you can hear what makes this group so special.

NY Liberty Legends Round Table featuring:
Becky Hammon, Kym Hampton, Rebecca Lobo, Vickie Johnson, Teresa Weatherspoon, Sue Wicks

Courtney Paris, Center/Forward, Atlanta Dream
One of the most successful college posts in NCAA women's basketball history, Courtney Paris has had a hard time breaking into the WNBA.  A season in Europe and a few different tryouts have prepared her for her current opportunity with the Atlanta Dream, and Courtney seems to be thriving.  David talks to Courtney about getting back to the WNBA.

Dishin & Swishin Celebrates 15 Years of WNBA Basketball
At various times throughout the season, we will be presenting special interviews and segments celebrating the 15th year of the WNBA.  We are pleased to present a couple of these for you today.

Top 15 Players in WNBA History Finalist: Taj McWilliams-Franklin, Minnesota Lynx
"Mama Taj" has been around the WNBA for a long time, and the ABL prior to that.  She has played at a remarkably high, consistent, level for virtually her entire career, and is considered by many to be the missing piece the Lynx needed for a playoff push this season.  Taj joins David to discuss not just the success of the 2011 Lynx, but her entire career.  A truly enjoyable chat with an unforgettable player.

A Very Special 15th Year Roundtable (co-mediated by Angela Taylor) featuring:
Penny Toler, 1st Player to Score in a WNBA game and current GM of the LA Sparks
Ruthie Bolton, Women's Basketball Hall of Fame 2011 Inductee & Finalist for the Top 15 Players in WNBA History
Angela Taylor, Former WNBA executive, worked in both the league office and for individual franchises
Raye Pond, Mgr of Women's Pro Basketball, Nike's marketing department at the onset of the WNBA

and a WNBA Championship ring with the Seattle Storm.  As a broadcaster she covered last year's Storm run to the title.
As the head of her foundation, she's mentored countless kids of various ages.  Now, she takes on a new challenge as a coach,
with the Washington Huskies.  Adia and David discuss the 2011 Storm season and early struggles, the rest of the WNBA,

Alex Chambers, author of the forthcoming book 13 Teams: One Man's Journey with the WNBA joins Dishin & Swishin

Michelle Snow, Forward-Center, Chicago Sky

All-Star Michelle Snow has brought her talents to Chi-town, joining Sylvia Fowles in a Twin Tower combo
that has the Sky off to a great start.  A 10 year veteran of the league now, Michelle talks about both
her past experiences and the current team, playing for coaches from Summitt to Chatman, and more.

Vickie Johnson, Assistant Coach, San Antonio Silver Stars

The undefeated San Antonio Silver Stars are one of the early stories of the WNBA season, and Vickie Johnson has rejoined
her former team, this time as a coach.  One of Dishin & Swishin's favorite guests, VJ talks about adjusting to being on
the sideline now, working with greats like Becky Hammon and Sophia Young, and youngsters like Danielle Robinson,
Danielle Adams and Porsha Phillips.  Can the Silver Stars keep this up?  We'll find out soon enough!

Swish Appeal's Nate Parham: The NBA Champion Mavericks and
WNBA Champion Storm...Similarities and What Ifs?

Back on April 20th, Nate Parham wrote a piece on Swish Appeal about what the Seattle Storm could learn from the
Dallas Mavericks, after assistant coach Jenny Boucek studied the Mavs this winter.
The common traits between the two extend beyond the obvious similarities of Dirk Nowitzki and Lauren Jackson.
Nate and David discussed this, and what Seattle could take from the Dallas success of this season.

joins the show.  Despite needing to integrate several new players and a new full-time PG, Tamika Catchings, Katie Douglas
and crew are expected to have a big year!

Cheryl Reeve, Head Coach, Minnesota Lynx

Perhaps no coach has more pressure on them this year than Cheryl Reeve, as the Lynx, having added Maya Moore,
Taj McWilliams-Franklin and Amber Harris to an already talented group, are picked by many to win the Western Conference.
Coach Reeve returns to the show to talk about this year's team, expectations, spreading minutes among so much talent, and more.

Jennifer Gillom, Head Coach, Los Angeles Sparks
A WNBA original, Jen Gillom was a dominant forward for the Phoenix Mercury.  Today, she coaches what may be one of the most
dominant front lines in WNBA history: Candace Parker, Tina Thompson & DeLisha Milton-Jones and Ebony Hoffman.
But is it enough to dethrone Seattle out west?  I talked to Coach Gillom as she contemplated her team's final cuts
and began preparing for a tough season opening set with Minnesota.

WNBA Preview Roundtable, moderated by David Siegel,
with Mel Greenberg, Debbie Antonelli and Christy Winters Scott

The return of the Roundtable!  Get yourself a snack and something to drink, and pull up to the computer to hear David
and the panel discuss the 2011 WNBA season.  Who will surprise?  Who is in trouble already?  MVP?  Rookie of the Year?
They're all covered with the usual insight and humor you can find in a DNS Roundtable!  Enjoy!

DISHIN' & SWISHIN'
Wednesday - May 25, 2011
Hosted by David Siegel

Ann Meyers-Drysdale, President and General Manager, Phoenix Mercury
From Hall of Fame player to successful team executive, Ann Meyers-Drysdale has done it all in women's basketball.
It was a pleasure & honor to talk to Ann in length, on topics ranging from the Diana Taurasi & the 2011 Mercury,
the difficult off-season including plans for "what if" scenarios with Taurasi, making difficult trades & moves
required by the salary cap and demands,  Penny Taylor and the Aussie national team, the Naismith HOF,
and if she was interested in the WNBA presidency.

Mike Thibault, Head Coach, Connecticut Sun
The only head coach the franchise has had in Connecticut, Mike Thibault makes his DNS debut. Topics range from the
disappointment of the last two non-playoff seasons, the young but talented Sun roster for 2011 and where he sees players
fitting in, the pros and cons of dealing with international players' and their requirements,  the evolution of the post
position in the WNBA, and even what it's like being a Parent while your daughter plays college ball and all you can do is watch.

DISHIN & SWISHIN WELCOMES BACK THE WNBA!

Camps are open, and you can count on David and Dishin & Swishin to keep you
up to date all season with what's going on with the WNBA! Let's get it started
with a bang with four great interviews for you!

Brian Agler, Head Coach Defending WNBA Champion Seattle Storm
The entire starting five is back, Katie Smith has been added, but how does this affect the rest of the
roster with a difficult salary cap to manage?  The rest of the league is strong,so what does Coach Agler
think of his team and the competition for the upcoming season, plus some talk on
Mark Cuban in the WNBA and the NBA finals

Trudi Lacey, Head Coach, Washington Mystics
Perhaps no team went through a more interesting off-season than the Mystics, with management and
players coming and going, but Coach Lacey has a pretty well stocked team for her first season
in D.C., and talks about the return and health of Alana Beard, her new players, and what we can expect this season

Pokey Chatman, Head Coach, Chicago Sky
When last we spoke to Pokey it was about Spartak, now she's the head coach of Chicago, running her
first WNBA camp, with a new staff and some key acquisitions to improve the Sky.  Will
Courtney Vandersloot start from day one?  How's Shemeka Christon's health?  Is Big Syl ready to roll?
Coach Chatman discusses them all

Alysha Clark, Forward in camp with the San Antonio Silver Stars
Many were surprised last year's 2nd round draft choice did not make the Stars, on the heels of a storied
college career. But Alysha Clark took it as a challenge to take her game overseas, and in
different directions, improving skills college did not develop. Now she's back, ready to
challenge for a roster spot again, while also blogging about the experience on Swish Appeal
